UX Designer

We are looking for an experienced UX Designer with a strong foundation in digital and physical product design to join our team. INVISIO develops tactical hearing protection and communication systems for defense and public safety professionals worldwide.

About the job

As a UX Designer in Invisio, you’ll be part of a growing team shaping the future of our product experiencesfrom communication technology to hearing protectionfrom digital platforms to physical interfaces.  

You’ll work across the full design process: from research and concepting to prototyping and implementation. You’ll help define and anchor UX as a discipline in the company, introducing new methods, tools, and ways of working. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, sales, and fellow UX professionals to ensure our products are not only functional but also intuitive, ergonomic, and easy to own.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Design user experiences for both digital interfaces and physical products (e.g., buttons, ergonomics, hardware interaction)  

  • Conduct design research, usability testing, and user journey mapping using tools like Condens and Dovetail. 

  • Create sketches, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes using tools like Figma, Protopie, Miro, and Adobe Creative Cloud  

  • Apply system thinking, design thinking, and methodologies like Google Design Sprints and Lean UX. Co-create with end-users, collaborate with product managers and engineers to bring concepts and experience visions to life  

  • Present and communicate design ideas clearly to colleagues and stakeholders

 

About you

You’re an experienced UX designer with a passion for creating thoughtful, user-centered solutions. You’re not just a digital designer; you understand and care about the tactile, ergonomic, and functional aspects of physical products just as well as you do digital interfaces.

 

Skills we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in UX design  

  • A background in UX Design, Industrial design or other relevant experience working with physical products  

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating work across technical products, consumer electronics, b2b products or audio/communication products. 

  • A strong grasp of ergonomics, button design, hardware, and how users interact with physical interfaces 

  • Proficiency in Figma, Miro, Adobe CC or other relevant prototyping tools  

  • Experience with design research, concept development, and usability and acceptance testing  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to translate not just your own ideas, but also team input and user insights into real, valuable solutions  

  • Willingness to engage directly with end-user, including field exercises in defense-related environments

Additional information

The position is based in our HQ in Hvidovre, Copenhagen, and you must be able to be present at the workplace. We do not offer relocation assistance. 

You must be able to travel approx.. 20-40 days a year to engage with end-users to understand behaviors, needs, and improvements/opportunities.
