Join our team in Copenhagen
UX Designer
Are you passionate about creating meaningful, user-centered experiences across digital interfaces and physical products? Are you driven by a sense of purpose, and do you want to design solutions that create real value for people?
We are looking for an experienced UX Designer with a strong foundation in digital and physical product design to join our team. INVISIO develops tactical hearing protection and communication systems for defense and public safety professionals worldwide.
We offer you an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, high-tech company with a user-centered development mindset. You will help shape INVISIO’s future products and services and influence the UX strategy and direction.
About the job
As a UX Designer in Invisio, you’ll be part of a growing team shaping the future of our product experiences – from communication technology to hearing protection – from digital platforms to physical interfaces.
You’ll work across the full design process: from research and concepting to prototyping and implementation. You’ll help define and anchor UX as a discipline in the company, introducing new methods, tools, and ways of working. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, sales, and fellow UX professionals to ensure our products are not only functional but also intuitive, ergonomic, and easy to own.
Key responsibilities:
Design user experiences for both digital interfaces and physical products (e.g., buttons, ergonomics, hardware interaction)
Conduct design research, usability testing, and user journey mapping using tools like Condens and Dovetail.
Create sketches, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes using tools like Figma, Protopie, Miro, and Adobe Creative Cloud
Apply system thinking, design thinking, and methodologies like Google Design Sprints and Lean UX. Co-create with end-users, collaborate with product managers and engineers to bring concepts and experience visions to life
Present and communicate design ideas clearly to colleagues and stakeholders
About you
You’re an experienced UX designer with a passion for creating thoughtful, user-centered solutions. You’re not just a digital designer; you understand and care about the tactile, ergonomic, and functional aspects of physical products just as well as you do digital interfaces.
Skills we’re looking for:
Minimum 3 years of experience in UX design
A background in UX Design, Industrial design or other relevant experience working with physical products
Strong portfolio demonstrating work across technical products, consumer electronics, b2b products or audio/communication products.
A strong grasp of ergonomics, button design, hardware, and how users interact with physical interfaces
Proficiency in Figma, Miro, Adobe CC or other relevant prototyping tools
Experience with design research, concept development, and usability and acceptance testing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to translate not just your own ideas, but also team input and user insights into real, valuable solutions
Willingness to engage directly with end-user, including field exercises in defense-related environments
What we offer
Purpose-driven work: Design products that improve communication, safety, and quality of life
Interdisciplinary collaboration: Work with product managers, engineers, industrial designers, and likeminded UX professionals
Start-up energy: Your ideas will be heard, and will have the opportunity to help shape how UX is practiced in Invisio
Real-world impact: Be part of field testing, including defense and tactical environments
Growth opportunity: Help build a anchor the UX discipline, define company processes, and influence product strategies
