Student Worker - UX Design, Experience Concepting & Prototyping

Help shape next generation tactical user experiences across both physical and digital products.

We are looking for a curious and hands‑on student worker to join our UX Design team. You will support designers working across both physical and digital products and help bring user‑centered thinking into every stage of our development process.

 

About the job

In this role, you will help define user journeys and blueprints based on internal workshops, interviews, and insights from field research. You will contribute to shaping early concepts, support ideation, and assist in building experience demonstrators, pretotypes, and lightweight prototypes for feedback and testing.

This is a great opportunity to gain practical UX experience in an engineering‑driven organization working on mission‑critical communication and hearing protection solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the UX team in defining user journeys and journey blueprints based on qualitative insights
  • Support the UX and User Engagement teams in maintaining user segmentation materials
  • Support concepting and early‑stage ideation through sketches, flows, mockups, and experience mapping
  • Help build experience demonstrators, pretotypes, and low‑fidelity prototypes of physical devices and digital solution concepts for rapid feedback loops and user testing
  • Help organize research and test materials, structure insights, and maintain clarity in ongoing UX activities
  • Collaborate with UX Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders as needed

 

About you

You are a structured, proactive, and curious design student who thrives in an environment where physical and digital experiences meet. You enjoy switching between research, concepting, prototyping, and hands‑on making, and you are motivated by contributing to a user‑centered mindset in a technically oriented R&D context.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s program (e.g., Design & Innovation, Service Systems Design, Digital Design, Interaction Design, Product Development, Engineering Psychology)
  • Strong interest in UX and user‑centered design
  • Strong interest in - and experience with - prototyping, physical or digital, and a willingness to explore and learn new tools
  • Comfortable assisting UX Designers with various design and prototyping activities
  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Availability to work two days per week from our office in Hvidovre

The following will enhance your candidacy

  • Military experience
  • Experience creating user journeys, flows, blueprints, or mapping research insights
  • Familiarity with prototyping tools (Figma, Miro, cardboard/mockups, simple electronics, Arduino, Creo, Fusion 360, or similar)
  • Interest in hardware–software interaction, form‑factor explorations, or physical prototyping
  • Interest in defense, law‑enforcement, communication products, or high‑performance equipment

Additional information

Part-time, appr. 2 days per week within company working hours which are from 9 am to 5 pm. The work takes place at our HQ office in Hvidovre and requires your physical presence.
