Student Worker - Usability Engineering & Human Factors
Join our UX Design team and help shape the future of tactical communication and hearing protection products.
We are looking for a proactive and curious Student Worker to support our UX Design team in planning, preparing, executing, and documenting usability testing, human factors evaluations, and ergonomics assessments.

In this role, you will work hands-on with both physical and digital prototypes, supporting real-world testing in demanding environments such as high-noise and high-stress scenarios.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student who wants practical experience with user research, product development, and human-centered design in an engineering-focused organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and scoping usability and human‑factors test activities
- Prepare test materials, equipment, environments, and prototypes
- Support execution of usability tests, ergonomic evaluations, and field studies
- Capture observations, results, and insights through structured documentation
- Help maintain and develop testing frameworks, methods, and tools
- Organize test data, photos/videos, notes, and follow‑up summaries
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, engineers, and product managers
- Assist with light prototyping, concept preparation, or mock-ups where relevant
About you
You are structured, curious, and eager to learn. You enjoy practical work, interacting with users, and contributing to a team that values evidence-based decision making. You’re comfortable switching between hands-on testing tasks and detailed documentation.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s program (e.g., UX/UI, Design & Innovation, Cognitive Science, Product Development, Human Factors, Engineering Psychology)
- Strong interest in usability, ergonomics, and human‑centered design
- Ability to work systematically and document findings clearly
- Comfortable with physical product handling, equipment setup, and light technical tasks
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
The following will enhance your candidacy
- Military experience
- Experience with usability testing, user interviews, or field studies
- Knowledge of human factors, ergonomics, or product design processes
- Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Miro, Excel, video editing, or note‑taking frameworks
- Interest in physical prototypes, hardware, or digital interface evaluations
- Basic data structuring or analysis experience
- Experience documenting tests or creating structured summaries
- Motivation to work in defense, law enforcement, or high‑performance communication product domains

Additional information
Part-time, appr. 2 days per week within company working hours which are from 9 am to 5 pm. The work takes place at our HQ office in Hvidovre and requires your physical presence.
